Privacy Policy
Earleaf is an audiobook player built for people who run their own Audiobookshelf server. The short version: Earleaf doesn't collect your data, because it doesn't have anywhere to send it — everything stays between your device and the server you already control.
What Earleaf collects
Nothing. Earleaf has no user accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. There is no server operated by Earleaf or its developer that your information passes through.
What you enter into the app
The only information you provide is the address of your own Audiobookshelf server and the login credentials for the account you set up on that server yourself. This information is used to connect your device directly to your server. It travels from your device to your server and nowhere else — Earleaf's developer never sees it, receives it, or stores a copy of it.
What's stored on your device
To function while you're offline or between sessions, Earleaf keeps a small amount of information locally on your device:
- Your server address and session credentials, held in your device's secure system storage
- Playback position and listening progress, which sync directly with your Audiobookshelf server
- Any audiobook files you choose to download for offline listening
None of this leaves your device except to communicate with the Audiobookshelf server you configured.
Third parties
Because Earleaf doesn't collect anything, there's nothing to share, sell, or hand over. Your library, listening history, and account details live entirely on the server you host and control.
Children's privacy
Earleaf does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, for the same reason it doesn't collect information from anyone else: it isn't built to collect information at all.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of Earleaf ever changes what it does with data — for example, by adding an optional feature like crash reporting — this page will be updated first, and the date at the top will reflect it.
